A very fine session - looking at vitality and forcing ourselves to draw to a beat. Making multiple lines inspired by Giacometti drawings.

Saturday November 3rd. Blotting paper strips.

Working with blotting paper rescued from the bin we made objects. Thinking about forms and nets and planes. The results were beautiful, we were inspired to make an exhibition of Saturday Drawing outcomes - if anyone knows of a small space we could use please let us know. We also had a visit from and exciting guest lecturer: Louise Bourgeois.

What we did, October 13th - Continuous Line Drawing.

A splendid session focusing on the use of a continuous line with a mixture of long and short exercises. It was a very jolly session (these photos make it look otherwise) with a little improvising and some very beautiful results.

Looking at movement - running and jumping and repeating marks. Trying to draw things getting blown by a fan and making flick books.

We made self portraits with props, looking at what the objects in a portrait an mean and add to an image. But first we made portraits with things from the kitchen.
